I’ve been on many forums and read that this tuner card doesn’t work with Linux. Hopefully, things have changed since then. Companies like Avermedia buy chips from the like of Philips and Conexant and make adapters. AVerMedia will keep your information and save a backup in the Web site database. Most of their cards are well supported under Linux. However, AVerMedia will not disseminate the contents of the information database to other individuals or companies. Driver needed for newer kernels!

I saw something that on ehow that said it did too, but never tried it. The card does work great with Windows 7 Media Center and has a very clear picture. Remove Avemedia Sponsored Links. I’m guessing that this is the driver I need.
For the best viewing experience please update your browser avermediaa Google Chrome. Muck around with the audio and video codecs. I just tested it in Windows to make sure the card was working.
